Who am I, anyway??

I think a brief intro is to be expected, don't you?  My name is TeeJay, ("and I'm a decor-aholic. Thank you.") I live in Clarksville, TN with my fiancee and 2 spoiled dogs  "children". We've been attempting to update this 20-something-year-old home, which led me to reading a LOT of crafting/decorating/designing blogs by some extremely talented artists!  Yes, I said artists.  Because they are artists. One of Webster's definitions: "a person engaged in one or more of any of a broad spectrum of activities related to creating art, practicing the arts and/or demonstrating an art."  PERFECT!  Because we are *all* artists, in some way, shape, or form. :)


So anyway, I also like to find and reinvent/restore/repurpose things. In today's economy, who can afford to buy this stuff new??  Not to mention the quality of yesteryear items is usually better, anyway!  I learned so much from other blogs, I decided it was time to pay it forward.... so here I am.  :) 


Along with the house, we've been working on the yard for the past 2 years..... putting in a garden; landscaping in front and back; replacing and expanding the deck; putting in a pool; and a plethora of other back-breaking fun projects that are slowly turning this house into a home. I love taking before and after photos, and since I have a few projects already completed, that should make a good start for this blog! I'm going to try to post something weekly, so we'll just go with the flow, and see how it goes.... How's that for starters?
